On Wednesday, Selena Gomez celebrated Taylor Swift’s birthday with a sweet Instagram post.

The Only Murders in the Building star, 31, shared a sweet Instagram photo of Taylor, 34, kissing her on the cheek.

‘Happy birthday to the goddess that is @TaylorSwift,’ Selena wrote in a text overlay on the photo, adding, ‘I love you.’

Selena, who had also been out with Taylor the night before, was photographed smiling brightly at the camera. In a snakeskin coat, a matching mini skirt, and a black top, she looked stunning.

Meanwhile, the Bad Bloоd hitmaker held the iPhone camera with both hands while planting a kiss on her pal with her eyes closed.

Taylor had arrived in New York earlier that day, where she has a penthouse, after flying from Kansas City, Missouri.

Previously, she had been spending time with her Kansas City Chiefs star boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34.

Taylor’s apparent decision to skip the Time gala was surprising, given that she was scheduled to return to New York City on Tuesday solely to attend the ceremony.

Selena and Taylor have been friends for over a decade and a half, having met in 2008 while dating two members of the Jonas Brothers.

However, because the singer has long been loyal to her friends and members of her “squad,” she appeared to have preferred an intimate evening with Gomez and their friends over the high-profile event.

In October, it was reported that Gomez was concerned about her BFF’s relationship with Kelce. The multihyphenate is reportedly concerned that his friend Taylor is’moving too quickly’ with NFL star Travis.

According to a Page Six source, Taylor’s behavior in this new relationship is out of character for her given her history.

‘Selena thinks Taylor going to games and galivanting through New York right after meeting Travis is very unlike her,’ said the insider.

‘Historically, Taylor has always been very private about everything, and now that she’s in this [relationship], she’s so open about it that it’s very unusual for Selena,’ says a source.

Taylor split from actor Joe Alwyn earlier this year, despite being together for several years.

Selena was taken aback, according to a Page Six source, when she discovered Taylor was hanging out with Travis’s parents in the luxury box at his games just weeks after meeting her.

Selena, too, thought Taylor holding hands with Travis in public was strange, according to the source.

According to the source, Selena was invited to Travis’ games with other members of her squad, but she declined because she did not want to be a part of the “media frenzy.”

According to the source, the two longtime gal pals are “not in a figt” about their opposing viewpoints.
