Cardi B admits it is tough to find high-end designer outfits to fit her VERY voluptuous curves: ‘This body is not meant for a size 2!’
Cardi B, undoubtedly one of the most stylish figures in the rap scene, has graced the covers of Vogue magazine and fronted a Balenciaga campaign. Yet, despite her glamorous appearances, the 31-year-old confesses to ongoing struggles in finding designer outfits that flatter her incredible curves.
In a candid conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker, alongside her stylist Kollin Carter, revealed the numerous hurdles they face in crafting her iconic red carpet looks.
“This body isn’t made for a size 2. I’ve got curves, and that’s me,” Cardi shared. “It hasn’t been easy, but we make it look effortless. Despite many closed doors, we’ve persevered. We’re here because we excel at what we do. I won’t downplay it.”
Cardi’s unapologetic embrace of her body and determination to overcome fashion industry challenges only add to her allure as a style icon.

Backing up the rapper, her stylist Kollin emphasized Cardi’s unique presence in the fashion world, stating, “There weren’t many women like Cardi in the fashion space before.” He continued, “Now, countless female rappers aspire to occupy that space because they see the possibilities. We’re trendsetters.”
Cardi consistently graces best-dressed lists and has been featured on multiple covers of Vogue, including editions in the US, Mexico, and Singapore.
In her journey towards achieving her desired look, Cardi has openly discussed undergoing several cosmetic procedures, including four breast augmentations, liposuction, rhinoplasty, and illegal silicone butt injections, most of which she’s had removed.
Following the birth of her son, Wave, in 2021, Cardi intensified her fitness regimen, dedicating two hours a day to working out. She shares Wave and her five-year-old daughter, Kulture, with her husband, rapper Offset.
Last year, the chart-topper underwent surgery to remove the biopolymers from her rear end, further showcasing her commitment to health and well-being.

“In August, I underwent surgery and removed 95% of my biopolymers… if you’re not familiar, it’s a** shots,” she candidly shared on social media.
“It was quite a challenging process,” she continued. “All I’ll say is, if you’re young—19, 20, 21—and you feel too skinny, thinking, ‘OMG, I don’t have enough fat to enhance my a**,’ and you resort to a** shots, DON’T!” Cardi passionately urged her fans during an Instagram Live session.
In her earlier days as a New York City stripper, Cardi had her buttocks illegally injected with silicone in a basement. She has previously disclosed that one reason for the botched procedure was a breakup, as a man left her for a woman with a “fat, big a**.”

There was more than just personal insecurity driving Cardi towards the procedure; she noticed that other strippers with larger backsides were earning more, she revealed to GQ.
After undergoing the risky basement injections for $800, she endured excruciating pain, feeling as though she might faint. On top of that, the implants leaked for five days.
Following the birth of her daughter, Cardi opted for liposuction and breast augmentation. However, a challenging recovery forced her to cancel multiple concert appearances in 2019, leading her to swear off cosmetic surgery.
Despite her initial declaration, she later underwent a nose job in 2020 and then had further enhancements done to her body in 2021 after giving birth to Wave.
In 2022, during an appearance on The Jason Lee Show, the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker once again asserted that she was “done” with plastic surgery.
