The fashion industry is notorious for shattering norms of acceptable behavior, but 11-year-old Kheris Rogers has already made quite a for herself. In 2017, she made history as the world’s youngest designer to showcase her collection at New York Fashion Week.

Young Kheris Rogers responded by launching her own clothing line called “Flexin’ my Complexion.” Rogers says, “I know I’m pretty, and I’m not going to let anyone tell me different,” in response to a question about whether or not she makes impulsive choices.
However, that wasn’t all she did during NYFW. Tom Joyner’s Family Reunion and Harlem Fashion Week were just two of the venues where Rogers debuted her chic designs. Her popularity has skyrocketed in a short period of time, with major publications like Vogue, Ebony, and BlackNews.co praising her work.
She looks up to other successful Black wom** for motivation, realizing that she, too, can serve as an example for aspiring businesswomen. This could be the first of many young fashion designers who aim to dominate their field.
