Cuando la familia de un perro fue desalojada hace aproximadamente un mes, sus pertenencias quedaron tiradas en la acera. Su perro, Boo, también fue molestado. ¡Pobre Boo! Al parecer, sus humanos se movieron y lo sacaron a la acera con la basura que dejaron.
Lo encontraron tirado sobre los objetos desechados, y casi parecía estar protegiéndolos en caso de que sus humanos regresaran.
Liz Marie, utilizada en Facebook, fue quien se encontró con Boo tirado con la basura en la acera. En su publicación de Facebook, ella describe lo desconsolada que se sintió al verlo.
Su publicación llamó la atención de Devin Oliver, el fundador de Detroit Youth and Dog гeѕсᴜe. Sabía que tenía que ir a buscarlo de inmediato.
No fue fácil. Oliver tardó varios días en generar confianza con Boo antes de poder ser rescatado. Fue mucho trabajo duro, pero es exactamente lo que hace Oliver.
Finalmente, Boo fue llevado al veterinario y, aparte de tener mucha hambre, sed y, comprensiblemente, deprimido, Boo estaba en buenas condiciones.
En realidad, todo el programa de rescate se lleva a cabo a través de hogares de acogida y no tiene una dirección física propia. Desde 2014, Oliver y su equipo han podido rescatar y realojar a unos 75 perros.
Boo ha recibido cierta atención a través de las redes sociales y algunas personas incluso han llamado preguntando por él. Sin embargo, nadie ha dado un paso al frente todavía.
El 29 de octubre, Boo se mudó a un hogar de acogida con personas a quienes Dustin describe como “perfectas”. La esperanza es que ellos también encuentren a Boo perfecto y lo conviertan en un miembro permanente de su familia una vez que Boo termine su tratamiento contra el gusano del corazón y pueda ser adoptado.
