Haley McCormack was on her way to her porch in Davidson County, Tennessee, when her dog Arlo sprung into action to save her. Haley had missed a venomous copperhead snake hidden in the nook beside the stairs. Arlo lunged at the snake as it reared back to attack, grabbing its tail and shaking it back and forth.
Arlo rescued his owner from the snake, although he was bitten three or four times in the face. Arlo was brought to Nashville’s BluePearl Pet Hospital, where he got anti-venom, pain medicine, and CBD oil. His neck and face were both severely swelled; nonetheless, he is recuperating nicely and is anticipated to fully recover.
Unfortunately, Arlo was not the only dog treated at BluePearl Pet Hospital that day for a snake bite, according to the hospital. According to the animal hospital, they’ve already had over a dozen snakebite cases in their area this summer.
