The Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end revealed that he and Swift had been getting to know each other for nearly a month before she made headlines by attending his game against the Chicago Bears on September 24, 2023.

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Kelce, 34, shared this intriguing detail, shedding light on the timeline of their relationship.

Just three days before Swift’s attendance at the Chiefs-Bears game, Kelce had already made headlines by extending an invitation for her to watch him play.

In his recent interview, he clarified that he was aware of her intention to attend the game when he made the invitation, dispelling any notion of it being a spontaneous gesture.

“It wasn’t just an out-of-the-blue, ‘Hey, come to the game,’” Kelce explained. Since that initial game appearance, Swift, also 34, has shown her support by attending 12 of Kelce’s games.

Kelce expressed his delight at having Swift by his side, mentioning how much he appreciates her presence at the games with family and friends, calling the past year a “wonderful” one.

He recounted the moment, expressing his desire to present her with a personalized bracelet bearing his number. However, Swift’s busy schedule prevented him from doing so, leaving him “a little butthurt.”

Kelce admired Swift’s strong work ethic, which they both share, and he explained that his commitment to practice would prevent him from attending the Grammys to support her.
