Taylor Swift fully trusts Travis Kelce as the Kansas City Chiefs star makes her feel ‘secure’ and ‘safe’ in their relationship, according to reports.
Kelce, who is set to contest his second straight Super Bowl with the Chiefs next weekend, has seen his fame skyrocket over the past five months after he and Swift went public with their romance back in September.
The celebrity power-couple have gone from strength to strength ever since Taylor first rocked up at one of Travis’ NFL games, with the pop sensation even getting onto the field to congratulate him after Kansas City’s playoff win over the Baltimore Ravens last weekend.
According to OK Magazine, Travis ‘always makes her feel special and appreciated and plans romantic nights together.’
‘The way Travis is open with his friends, family and fans about his relationship makes Taylor feel secure,’ a source is quoted as saying. ‘She feels like she can be away from him and not worry about him doing anything sketchy behind her back. She trusts him; he makes her feel safe.’
The insider added: ‘When they go out with his friends in Kansas City she feels like she can be a regular girlfriend. They can hang out and drink cocktails and kiss out in the open — all the things she’s always wanted to do.’
With both of them at the very top of their respective professions, Kelce and Swift are said to acknowledge the dedication the other person puts into their work, meaning they don’t have to explain anything to each other as ‘they just get it’.
The pair are also comfortable to give each other space when required without feeling jealous or isolated.
It didn’t take long for Kelce and Swift to meet the families, with Taylor spotted alongside Travis’ parents at a number of Chiefs games.
Kelce, meanwhile, met Swift’s dad Scott for the very first time after jetting out to her Eras Tour concert in Buenos Aires back in November.
It took Swift a little while longer to meet Travis’ brother Jason, yet after linking up at Kansas City’s game against the Buffalo Bills last month the Philadelphia Eagles veteran is clearly a fan of his sibling’s new girlfriend.
Jason spoke with WCPO 9 while preparing for the Pro Bowl Games and discussed Swift’s impact on the NFL since dating his brother Travis. In a clip that was later shared on X, he raved about her success and positive effect on younger women.
‘I think that the NFL would probably be foolish not to, you know, show her and be a role model for all the young girls out there,’ Kelce said.
‘She’s a world star, she’s the quintessential, you know, artist right now in the world,’ Kelce added while describing the 12-time Grammy winner as an ‘immensely talented’ artist.
Since dating Travis, Swift has been to 12 Chiefs games, and is expected to be at the Super Bowl for her 13th. She is reportedly planning to fly from a concert in Tokyo the evening before to support the Chiefs in Vegas.
