Travis Kelce Confesses ‘Gossip Girl’ Was His Guilty Pleasure Show Growing Up
A far cry from his Midwest upbringing.
Travis Kelce wears his heart on his sleeve, and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shares his honest thoughts every week on his popular podcast New Heights with brother Jason Kelce. In the latest episode of the show, Kelce looked back on his adolescent years and revealed a surprising love for one of the biggest teen shows of the past 20 years.
The Kelce brothers answered questions from fans on the Sept. 25 episode of New Heights. One of them asked what guilty pleasure show they watched that they were “embarrassed to admit.” Travis, for his part, wasn’t ashamed at all to speak about his.
“Embarrassed to admit? I don’t care. You can judge me, dude. It is what it is,” he said. “I used to not tell everybody that I watched Gossip Girl growing up.”
In true brother fashion, Jason teased him. “You watched Gossip Girl? You should be embarrassed,” he quipped.
“It’s so good though,” Travis replied. “Dude, if you watched it, you could get in deep.”
“I mean, it’s awesome,” the three-time Super Bowl champ continued as he gave a brief breakdown of the series for his brother. “It’s like a New York high school show with a lot of drama and basically everybody gossiping and talking s–t on each other, which leads me to my new favorite show out right now and it’s [The] Traitors.”
It turns out Blake Lively has been a presence in Kelce’s life long before he met her friend Taylor Swift.
