Ale Oviedo found out about the puppy’s case and couldn’t resist helping him. Three of the dog’s siblings had lost their lives due to her mother’s behavior and she did not allow the dog to be the fourth to die.
In addition, the little boy had received an injury to one of his legs and needed attention.
The woman named the puppy after Nicholas, the survivor.
Ale found out about this case from some friends of his family and decided to intervene to save the puppy. At that time he only had a few weeks to live.
“I met Nicholas when he was over a week old. Nicholas’s mother ate three of his siblings and was in the process of eating him when someone rescued him,” Ale explained.
When the puppy arrived at the woman’s house, it came with an injured paw and Ale knew she had to watch it closely, but she was also worried about how her other pets would take the arrival of this member.
The woman had five other dogs and some somewhat jealous cats in her care but, to her surprise, they adopted him as their own.
Ale couldn’t be more moved by the situation.
The woman had to heal Nicolás’s paw and that is why she cleaned the injury several times a day, at which time the cats came looking for him to comfort him.
“I fed him every 3 hours and changed his bandage every day. So they came and came to look for him,” he explained.
With the care of his new family, the puppy gained strength and confidence. Nicholas was a very fearful little dog before he met Ale, but after spending time with her and her family he learned that life wasn’t so bitter after all.
As the weeks passed, the puppy began to function on his own and his paw began to heal. Although it took him a while to learn to move around without being disturbed, he ventured out to explore the house of the one who had welcomed him.
At that moment Ale knew how curious this little dog was.
For the woman, there is no greater satisfaction or reward for those days of care than seeing the defenseless puppy become a self-confident and, above all, healthy dog. His wound and his heart healed thanks to them.
“I did it with great pleasure, with constant care from me, my cats and my other 5 dogs, he became a lovely dog!” she said.
Now recovered, Nicolás enjoys the company of the entire family that welcomed him and especially that of the kittens because, paradoxically, they were the ones who adopted him with the most love and dedicated themselves to accompanying and caring for him during his days of adaptation.
Ale’s intervention changed the destiny of the puppy who will now be able to lead a quiet life full of love, something that three of his little brothers did not achieve.
It seems that enjoying this world was something Nicholas was destined to do and now that he lives surrounded by so much love and meows, he will surely grow up very healthy.
In nature there are things that are difficult to assimilate, but the important thing is that good actions prevailed over any evil that this little dog could suffer and now he is completely happy.
We are happy to know that the furry ones will have the happiness that everyone deserves. Bravo for you, Nicolás.
