The story of a tiny puppy found under a car is one of rebirth, hope, and transformation.

That day in Texas, a tiny abandoned puppy sought refuge under Abigail’s arm, crying for help. Her frail, emaciated appearance resembled that of a skeletal figure, showing the extent of her extreme weakness.

Compassionate rescuers offered him help.giving him some food and water, while giving him space as he trembled with fear.

Finally, she gathered the courage to come out of her hiding place on her own.

Ellie rescued

When the pup, later named Ellie, emerged from under the tree, Abigail (Ellie’s rescuer) quickly put her on a leash.

Ellie was completely terrified. “She just went into turtle mode,” Abigail told The Dodo.

But, at that moment, the most important thing was to get her to the vet as soon as possible. I thought she had parvovirus, a highly contagious and deadly virus if not treated.

Luckily, it was parvovirus.

“Our vet told us he’d been eating so much junk that his stomach was really upset. But in a few weeks he should be fine,” Abigail said.

The poor baby had survived by eating garbage for who knows how long, but luckily she reached the right person who was going to help her get out.

At the vet, Abigail discovered that Ellie was only six months old, so she was still just a baby.

If you wouldn’t have guessed from her dry, flaky fur, Ellie was actually a Golden Retriever mix.

During the first few days at Abigail’s house, Ellie was still pretty tired.

“She was completely responsive the first few days. But she learned that we weren’t going to hurt her. It was really just a matter of trying to get her to come out of her shell,” Abigail said.

Growing up like a beautiful golden girl
After a couple of days, she finally regained some energy to go outside.

“The teepee ball, he saw it and immediately got down. He wanted to play, he had it inside him. From that moment on, he was much better,” Abigail said.

It was so cute to see Ellie playing and acting like a puppy should.

Little by little, the dog became a very cheerful and playful dog. Her skin and coat also improved and became healthier every day.

“We really made sure that she allowed herself to feel comfortable.”

Now, Ellie is a completely different dog, almost unrecognizable. She has become a beautiful golden girl with lush fur and lots of personality.

He loves to ride in the car, stick his head and paws out of the window, and go to the beach.

The first time I took her to the beach to celebrate her recovery, she was the happiest girl in the world.

“She started digging and went crazy running along the beach, looking out to the ocean. It shocked her. It was such a momentous moment for her.”

Ellie is a true fighter and worked hard to get to where she is now. Her recovery is incredible.

Ellie has her own Instagram account if you want to follow her and see more of her life.
