Meet Mr. Snufflufugus, a five-year-old who was recently found lost and abandoned on the streets of Texas. Terrified and desperate, he wandered the streets of Copperas Cove, hoping someone would rescue him. Luckily, local animal control was alerted to his plight and managed to find him, bringing him to the Copperas Cove Animal Control shelter.

Upon arriving at the shelter, this adorable pup immediately showed his gratitude, showering his new friends with hugs, melting the hearts of everyone lucky enough to witness the heartwarming moment. An observant staff member captured this scene in a ⱱігаɩ photograph that garnered a great deal of attention and support for Mr. Snufflufugus’ adoption.

Tamara Hall, the animal control supervisor, shared, “Victoria and I were in the play area with Mr. Snufflufugus when he decided he needed a hug.” They soon discovered that Mr. Snufflufugus was a true “hugger,” who enjoyed being around humans, quickly winning the hearts of the shelter staff.

Hall continued: “If you’re sitting on the floor, he’ll surely seek your attention by climbing into your lap or snuggling up next to you. He uses his irresistible sweet eyes as he seeks attention.”

As well as being a great cuddler, Mr Snufflufugus is friendly and loves to relax. Victoria, one of the shelter’s staff members, shared on Facebook: “He prefers to sit on the couch and be a ‘papa’ – a good ‘papa’ who gets lots of pats on the head, can sit on your chest and snore, and is frequently told what a good boy he is.”

Following the Copperas Cove Police Department’s release of the heartwarming photo of Mr. Snufflufugus, he became famous, leading to a flood of adoption requests. However, it was determined that he needed a one-pet home without small children, as he could become possessive of his owner.

Due to limited shelter resources, Mr. Snufflufugus was transferred to Pit Squad in Minnesota. There, they will carefully interview potential adopters to find him the perfect forever home. He also needs treatment for heartworm, which comes with a hefty veterinary bill, but the rescue is dedicated to giving him a second chance.

Mr. Snufflufugus has already captured the hearts of his foster family, and they are equally in love with him. PupVine and everyone involved sincerely hope that he finds a loving forever family who will give him hugs and love every day, as he truly deserves.
