While she was on her way to work, she passed a notorious dog abandonment site, a place that she had witnessed the abandonment and suffering of countless dogs. Demi herself had rescued two puppies, Milli and Mia, from this same location just a week earlier, a testament to her unwavering commitment to these innocent souls.

Demi’s daily ritual included providing food to packs of dogs struggling to survive in this unforgiving environment. On this particular day, she went out to look for two brothers and a familiar woman who frequented the area. However, what she found was a scene of despair and helplessness.
