A  humble  woman decided to adopt a stray dog  ​​from her poor village. Unfortunately, too many animals were struggling to survive. She couldn’t help them all, but she could help one special little animal who deserved it, so she did it!

The  dog he named Lilica  was sweet and loyal. He approached his new owner rather quickly. She wasn’t used to living under a roof, so her new mom  set up a nice dog house for her in the yard and gave her some space to roam.

The past of the little street was absolutely sad,  abandoned and struggling to survive in the middle of a garbage dump.  But this angel was determined to change her life.

The dog lives in the city of São Paulo, Brazil

Lucia Helena de Souza,  in the midst of her poverty, has always felt a great love for animals. Therefore, as soon as she saw Lilica,  she did not hesitate to help her and offer her home.

At dinner time, Lucia  would give him a big bag of food  in exchange for lots of hugs and kisses.

Everything seemed to be going completely normal but as time went by, Lucia  began to notice strange behavior in her new friend .

Lilica  left the patio at an exact time at night  and  would return a couple of hours later . She always returned tired from her trip and caught up on sleep during the day.

Thinking this was very strange, her new mother  decided to follow her.

I wanted to make sure he was okay.

Also, Lilica always looked very hungry, because  she never ate all the food Lucia gave her.  She always left more than half of it,  took the bag with her snout and quickly left there .

Lilica always left at 9 pm sharp.

The dog  traveled kilometers until she reached a sad place  where homeless animals congregated. What came next left the woman speechless!

He immediately realized  the long road his dog was taking . And the powerful reason that moved her to do something like that was something that  left her in tears.

Lilica shared some of her food with her former street friends who had made the garbage dump their home.

Fortunately, some were able to change their luck. But many others continued to be thrown away by their owners, just like Lilica when she got there, as if it were an old piece of furniture, along with the rest of the rubbish.

However, his  old tradition of bringing food to his street friends has not stopped.  And there is no human power to convince her otherwise.

Now, he continues to feed half of his food to the other dogs and cats that live in the garbage dump.

He is always especially concerned about litters, even if they are  children from another mother .

Lilica lives permanently with Lucia and couldn’t be more grateful

Lilica is wonderful. Many believe that animals are guided only by their instincts, but this sweet dog showed that even  in her times of greatest need,  there was nothing more important than  being able to help others .

His big heart is an example that we should all follow.

At Zoorprendente we admire Lilica’s compassion, empathy and solidarity  , it is proof that puppies are angels on earth.

She would never forget where she came from, and for that same reason, she felt the need to  help everyone who was suffering what she suffered when she was a street girl . Dogs never stop surprising us!
