Sunny, a Branford, Connecticut-based little Goldendoodle, is the proud guardian of three newborn triplets. The dog is so fascinated with the new family members that he visits them daily to ensure that everything is in order.
Lauren Barnes, a new mom, shared a video of Sunny checking on ‘his’ babies on TikTok, and it instantly went viral. The charming video, dubbed “cuteness overload” by Barnes, is warming hearts all over the internet.
Barnes has been posting videos of her adorable triplets since they were born, and Sunny has been in the majority of them
All three triplets are tucked in and resting on the couch in the video. Everything appears to be in order, but Sunny has arrived to double-check. The two-month-old babies appear to be anticipating the arrival of their canine companion. This brief morning check is a cherished family tradition.
Sunny stands on a nearby footstool and lovingly nuzzles one of the triplets. He spreads his body over to the couch to get a better view of these tiny people. He stays just long enough to ensure that baby number one is pleased and contented.
Then it’s time to see what’s going on with baby number two. Sunny shifts his weight and stretches his body once more. With her brilliant eyes, the baby appears to perk up and watch Sunny.
With a sniff and a kiss, baby number three gets the last inspection. Sunny reports that everything appears to be in order here. Sunny the dog says, “My duty here is done.”
Sunny raises her eyes to the camera as if to reassure mom that everything is well. He can finally relax, knowing that his children are in good hands. What a wonderful dog.
Barnes also shared a lovely photo of Sunny getting in on the cuddles in another video. Sunny is keeping an eye on his babies while keeping them warm and comfy. Sunny, kudos.
Most dogs adore infants and babies, but it takes a unique breed to keep an eye on them while giving them the nicest cuddles. Sunny seems to like being around these babies, and I’m sure they feel the same way. Sunny will be a consistent best buddy for the youngsters as they grow up.
