ThienNhien.Net – Loddigesia Mirabilis is a bird of the hummingbird family originating in Peru. Currently, it is on the list of endangered birds of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
Loddigesia Mirabilis birds mainly live in the forests of the Utcubamba River, Peru. Its length is only 10-15cm. They have colorful iridescent feathers and most especially beautiful long tail feathers, very similar to birds of paradise.
Currently, there are only 250-999 individuals left of the Loddigesia Mirabilis bird. That’s why the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) put this bird on the list of conservation needs.
