A devastated dog was forced to say goodbye to her puppy after he was adopted in central China.

Since mid-September, when she gave birth to a litter of seven puppies, the mixed-breed stray dog has been in the care of students at Zhengzhou University in Henan province.
The video, which was filmed on Monday, shows the tearful mother kissing her brown puppy goodbye before sending him off to his new owner.
The owner was seen carrying the puppy in her arms to her scooter, while the worried mother followed her.
The mother dog stood next to the owner’s scooter, head bowed, tail down, and ears drooping, as if begging to see her pup again.
The owner lowered the little dog to his mother, who kissed and licked him goodbye.
“Don’t worry, I will take excellent care of your puppy,” the owner was heard promising the mother.
Then the mother dog turns her head and walks away, but not before giving her beloved pup one last look.
Millions of people have been moved by the viral video, with many saying the tragic farewell looks like “something straight out of a movie.”
