Conservationist Biaпca Caroliпe Soares, who observed this special bird and took the photographs, is no stranger to seeing hummingbirds perched on branches in the jungle near her home in Paragυay.

Needless to say, Soares was impressed.

“That day I saw five hummingbird birds, but this one was the most amazing,” Soares said.

Thanks to the shade and protection from the rain that the leaf roof provided, this hummingbird’s house was easily the prettiest in the neighborhood.

And it also turned out to be a great place to raise a family.

Soares visited the bird’s smart home, observed the small family for whom he had built the bird in the weeks and months that followed that first sighting.

“She had two baby hummingbirds,” Soares said, and on the hottest days, those babies were sure to benefit from their mother’s careful planning with the protection of the shade.

Soares said he hopes that Little Mama’s thoughtful planning will inspire people to take better care of nature.
