Golden State Warriors vs LA Clippers starting lineups and depth charts for Oct. 5 | 2024 NBA Preseason
The Golden State Warriors and LA Clippers are set to face off in the NBA Preseason on Saturday in Honolulu, Hawaii. This promises to be an exciting and entertaining matchup with both teams bringing some star power to the Pacific island for their opening game.

After finishing with an underwhelming 46-36 record last season and missing out on the playoffs, the Warriors have added some veterans to compliment Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga. Guards Buddy Hield and De’Anthony Melton, and forward Kyle Anderson should provide some much-needed depth for Golden State.

The Clippers will also have a new-look roster with some high-profile departures over the offseason. Paul George and Russell Westbrook moved to the Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets, respectively. Centers Daniel Theis and Mason Plumlee have also parted ways with the organization. James Harden will be the man to keep an eye on for Tyronn Lue’s Clippers during preseason.

Steph Curry and Draymond Green should see some minutes on Saturday, but as is common in the preseason, their time on the court will likely be limited. Andrew Wiggins is expected to miss the game with an illness, but Jonathan Kumiga should feature for the Warriors.

Expect to see Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Jonathan Kuminga, Draymond Green and Trayce Jackson-Davis take the court for Golden State.

Coach Tyronn Lue will be working with a new set of players with plenty of turnover this offseason. One player that is set to make a big impact in 2024/25 is James Harden who looks to be in excellent shape coming into the season. The 35-year-old former MVP remains one of the NBA’s most dangerous scorers and could have a major impact on the outcome of the game.

Kawhi Leonard is set to miss Saturday’s game due to a knee injury.

For the Clippers, expect to see a starting five that includes James Harden, Norman Powell, Terance Mann, Derrick Jones Jr., and Ivica Zubac.
