The song ‘God Did’ was played by Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, Jay Z, and other well-known singers at the 2024 Grammy Awards
“God Did” was played live on the Grammy Awards stage on Sunday night.
Jay-Z played the song, which is the first single from his 2018 album God Did, with DJ Khaled and other artists, just as he had promised a few days before the Recording Academy show hosted by Trevor Noah. Live shows were also put on by Fridayy, John Legend, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne.
Before the event, the song was nominated for three awards, including Song of the Year. Click on this link to see the full list of winners from this year’s event.
Before his appearance on Sunday, Weezy got the Global Impact Award at the Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective event in Los Angeles. Drake and Nicki Minaj, who both paid tribute to the founder of Young Money, were among the famous people who were reported to have been at the happy event.
Drake gave Weezy the award and said, “I know I probably get annoying telling you how much you meаn to me and my family, but I think I speak for everyone when I sаy that without your natural gift to be yourself, our careers, our cadences, our melodies, maybe even our face tattoos, our outfits, or our decisions in general would not have been the same.”
In his acceptance speech, Weezy talked about his early years in New Orleans and said that he was “honored” that his fellow artists had shown him love.
