Michael Phelps reacts to Baltimore Raven’s Rashod Bateman’s touchdown in their game against Dallas Cowboys
Michael Phelps, who is a Baltimore native and a huge fan of the NFL team, the Baltimore Ravens, reacted to the impressive touchdown by Rashod Bateman on September 22, 2024. The Olympian was the one to bring out the game ball for the AFC Championship game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Phelps, who is one of the most decorated swimmers, has won 28 Olympic medals during his career, of which 23 are gold. Along with this, he has won 33 medals from the World Championships and 21 medals from the Pan Pacific Championships. Not just this, the formidable swimmer also held an impressive 39 world records. The swimmer has been the biggest supporter of the Ravens and recently appreciated the touchdown made by Bateman against the Cowboys.
The Ravens dominated the match against the Cowboys with a score of 28-25. One of the touchdowns that took the team nearer to the win was by Bateman. He smoothly made his way to the end zone and caught the ball, scoring a touchdown. Phelps lauded this score on his Instagram story by re-posting Raven’s post about the touchdown and writing:

Not just this, he continued his cheers for Derrick Henry Jr., who scored 151 rushing yards, 6.0 yards per carry, and 2 touchdowns in his game against the Cowboys. Phelps wrote:

Michael Phelps recently shared an old video from 2018 on his Instagram story and added a heartwarming note for his friend, Ryan Lewis. The video carried Lewis giving a shout-out to Phelps during the 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame. He called the Olympian his greatest friend, who was sitting in the audience, teary-eyed because of the speech.
“Michael Phelps, how many times me and you sat in the same house, looking at each other? What did we say? Baltimore is our city. We’d do anything for Baltimore,” Lewis said. “A lot of people call you the greatest Olympian ever… I call you one of my greatest friends, brother. I appreciate you man.”

Michael Phelps initially announced his retirement after the 2012 Summer Games; however, he performed at the 2016 Rio Games and then finally announced his retirement at the age of 31.
