Nature is a genuinely amazing phenomenon. From small mice to giant whales, our globe is home to a reᴍᴀʀᴋably diverse assortment of animals. Whales, in particular, inspire awe in people, to the point where whale watching has become a popular tourist activity all around the world. A ʜᴜᴍᴘʙᴀᴄᴋ whale recently put on a performance for workers on a fishing vessel.
The cool photos shows the whale shooting up through the ocean waves cʟᴏsᴇ to an unsuspecting fishing boat named Baja Sueno.
“Whale is enormous!” exclaims the narrator. “I’d certainly need some new underwear if I were the fisherman,” Douglas Craft, the photographer who photographed the moment, said. What’s most impressive is how little the boat appears in comparison to the whale.
“I went below deck to shoot from a porthole close to the waterline. That’s what gives this amazing perspective of looking up at the whale,” Douglas told a news agency.
Douglas Croft, a photographer, was the one who captured the breathtaking photographs. Kate Cummings, a whale watcher, also assisted the photographer by capturing video of the whale breaching in action.
The whale watcher revealed to the media: “It was fun capturing this video. The whale had already breached multiple times much further away from the fisherman. When whales breach many times, however, they may also be moving in a certain direction while beneath, gaining momentum for the next breach. Because the whale was traveling in that direction, I assumed the next breach would be near the fisherman, and it was! I wasn’t expecting the whale and the boat to line up so nicely, though.”
