Right before the festival, a series of dog “merchants” gathered in Ngoc Lam town, in the Guangxi autonomous region, China to be ready to serve the upcoming trading needs.
Most of these “merchants” use motorbikes to transport goods. And each car often has a few cramped, rusty iron cages attached to it to cram dozens of dogs and cats into the same place.
This can help traders easily choose suitable “prey” to slaughter and widely advertise to many different customers.
Poor dogs are being crammed into a cramped cage at the Yulin dog meat festival.
Even a large number of dogs and cats being sold in the dog meat “capital” of Yulin still wear collars. This proves that they were stolen by cruel people and then sold to the slaughterhouse as worthless.
Even more heartbreaking, the poor dogs and cats seemed to have known their tragic fate, so they just lay down in one place and waited for their turn to die. Every few minutes, dozens of animals are pulled out of iron cages and “executed” on the spot in front of the fear of their fellow humans around them.
Every year, about 10,000 dogs and cats are slaughtered in China’s infamous dog meat festival.
According to statistics, every year about 10 million dogs and cats are slaughtered for dinner across China. Ngoc Lam town alone has put its name on the “record” list when contributing to the culinary village with more than 300 dogs and cats every day.
Despite continuously facing mixed reactions from international animal protectionists, the Yulin dog meat festival is still held as usual on June 21.
A large number of dogs and cats during the festival were stolen from different families.
Coming to Ngoc Lam these days, people can easily see images of dogs and cats locked in cages waiting to die.
The little dog is trying to see the world around him in extreme desperation.
Many dog traders are lining up next to cargo trucks waiting for customers to choose their favorite “prey”.
The poor dog looked sad when he saw his fellow being killed right in front of him.
Even though they were too sleepy while waiting for the official festival to take place, the dog and cat dealers did not give up.
The poor dogs can only bow their heads in fear before the cold gaze of “potential” customers.
In the cramped iron cage, each dog gradually passed away. And the one who stays is not at all happy when they know they will be the next unlucky character.
Most of the “born to die” dogs are crammed into old cages and transported by traders to sell on a few rudimentary motorbikes.
The animals will be sold immediately after being cleaned or processed into different dishes.
