The Chaυchilla Cemetery is a cemetery located 30 kilometers south of the city of Nazca in Peru. The site is surrounded by a Poroma River and is accessed from a dirt road from the Paamerica Highway.
It was discovered in the 1920s and had not been used since the 9th century AD. It collaborates with mummified human remains and archaeological artifacts.

The mummies were, until recently, scattered across the desert, abandoned as looting thugs. Now the mummies, hopes and pottery have been carefully arranged on a dozen cats. \

The bodies are remarkably preserved, mainly due to the arid climate of the Peruvian desert. In addition to the skulls and Ƅopes, there are several toms that are centuries old, as well as severed human hairs, pottery shards, and other remains scattered across the desert surface. The bodies were dressed in embroidered cotton and decorated with sturdy, preserved toms made of mud bricks. The mummies are sitting upright; They are all facing east as required by the faith of the Nazca people.


Despite their centuries of age, some still have their hair while others retain their bounce.
According to , many of the mummy heads have specially prepared heads with holes drilled into the backs of their skulls, and in some cases, a rope has a rope threaded through the mummified head.

The site has been protected by Peruvian law since 1997.
Since 1997, the site is fully protected by perυʋiaп law. Today, tourists pay around six dollars to take the two-hour tour of this attractive petropolis. It is the only archaeological site in Peru that allows mummies to be filtered with fertile goods in the royal chambers.

The exact nature and use of the heads remains clearly clear.
