Man Utd fans go into meltdown after seeing Ruben Amorim’s first XI in training.criss

Manchester United fans were buzzing after witnessing Ruben Amorim’s first training session as the new manager. The 39-year-old conducted the session at Carrington on Monday, following the completion of his work permit formalities.

The biggest surprise was the inclusion of 16-year-old center-back Godwill Kukonki, a 6ft 5in prospect, who was promoted to the first team for the session. With many senior players away on international duty, only 10 senior squad members participated, including Leny Yoro and Mason Mount.

Fans got a glimpse of Amorim’s potential tactics, as small-sided drills and game-like situations were practiced. Footage released on United’s official website showed what appeared to be a 3-4-3 formation. Observers noted Yoro, Jonny Evans, and Luke Shaw forming a back three. Shaw’s deployment in central defense caught attention, with many believing the role could suit him well as he seeks consistency.

Tyrell Malacia returned to action as a wing-back, with Antony surprisingly playing on the opposite flank, though this is unlikely to reflect Sunday’s lineup against Ipswich, with regulars like Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot set to return.

In midfield, Kobbie Mainoo partnered Casemiro, while Amad Diallo and Mason Mount supported Marcus Rashford, who played as the lone striker. Fans acknowledged that key players like Bruno Fernandes would feature against Ipswich but were intrigued by the early experimentation.

The reaction on social media was overwhelmingly positive, with fans praising Amorim’s ideas and the system’s potential. Comments included excitement about how specific players, like Malacia and Mason Mount, could thrive under the new setup. Enthusiasm is building as supporters eagerly anticipate Amorim’s tactical impact in upcoming fixtures.
