Maggie was discovered in Lebanon with 17 bullet wounds, her eyes shot out, her ear severed, and her jaw broken. When the 5-year-old dog was discovered abandoned and tied to a box, she was also pregnant.
Maggie was rescued late last year by the Wild At Heart Foundation, an animal charity. After hearing Maggie’s horrific story, Kasey from Brighton decided to give the abandoned and injured dog a better life
However, there was one obstacle – the safe arrival of Maggie from Lebanon to the United Kingdom.
This was accomplished thanks to an online campaign that enlisted the help of millions of people all over the world. Eventually, Maggie moved into her new home and now has a family in Sussex, UK.
Maggie commonly known as the Wunder Dog on the Internet has managed to amass 500k followers on Instagram and has a career of visiting hospitals, care homes, and universities on a mission to spread a positive message.
Maggie is not just any ordinary dog. She is now an official therapy dog.To train as a therapy dog, Maggie had numerous tests and examinations. Kasey, Maggie’s owner, took to Instagram to celebrate the news of Maggie passing her exams with flying colors.
Kasey wrote, “Yesterday me and Maggie went to meet with her assessor, @maherandhounddogtraining She flaunted her stuff and gave it her best go and she PASSED”
Maggie has been authorized as a therapy dog by @underdog international.
Maggie’s commitment to spreading love and positivity is beautiful and heartwarming. A dog that has survived such inhumane torture continues to bring joy to the lives of so many people. is nothing less than brilliant. We humans have a lot to learn from Maggie and other animals.
