Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the many celebrities who have been linked to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ parties, his White Parties that is.
After a photo of him cheesing beside Diddy at the music mogul’s White Party in 1998 recently surfaced, the Titanic star has been trying to distance himself from the rapper. While the decades-old photo paints Leonardo and Diddy as close friends, a source close to the Oscar-winning actor claims that he and the Bad Boy Records founder claim otherwise. The source revealed that Leo hasn’t had anything to do with the hip-hop star “for years,” according to The Daily Mail.
The year that the Django Unchained actor went to Diddy’s White Party at his home in East Hampton, the rapper revealed that Leonardo was the “number one person” on his invitation list.
Leonardo isn’t the only famous face who has been at a Diddy party. Some A-listers who have gone to a White Party include Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Mariah Carey, Usher, and many more. Outside of hanging out with Diddy at his party in 1998, an insider revealed that Leo has “not been in contact” with Diddy for years.
Also, the source explained that the Catch Me If You Can notable never attended Diddy’s “freak offs” and has nothing to do with his sex trafficking case. Diddy was arrested last week on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, and he’s currently being detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York as he awaits trial.
“Leonardo DiCaprio has absolutely nothing to do with any of this,” the source said “He attended a few of his parties back in the early 2000s – but literally everyone did. They were not freak offs.”
The source added: “They were big house parties. Leo was at the start of his career at the time and has moved way past his partying. He has nothing to do with any of that world, so for anyone to assume that he will get roped into this based on a few grainy photos that are more than 20 years old is ridiculous.”
They continued: “Leo is focused on his career and his relationship and is not at all thinking about Diddy’s federal case, which he has nothing to do with.” Leonardo and Diddy were last photographed together in public at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. However, The Great Gatsby star was spotted getting his groove on at Diddy’s 50th mega birthday bash in 2019.
The Mirror has reached out to Leonardo DiCaprio’s reps for comment, but we have yet to hear anything back from them.
