John Cena showed off his chiseled physique while dancing in just a pair of briefs in a preview of HBO Max’s Suicide Squad spinoff Peacemaker.

The latest trailer of the 44-year-old former WWE star’s new series debuted during a virtual fan event for the DC Fandome on Saturday afternoon.

In addition to a glimpse of Cena dancing in his underwear to Wig Wam’s Do Ya Wanna Taste It, his character Christopher Smith is shown fighting crime.

Smith, whose alter ego is the Peacemaker, was almost killed after betraying his team for doing what ‘he believed to be the greater good,’ according to Variety.

Peacemaker will premiere on January 13, just a year after HBO Max issued a straight-to-series eight-episode order for the show.

The series will explore the origins of this unique character, described as, ‘a man who believes in peace at any cost – no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.’

James Gunn wrote all eight episodes of the series and direct several of the episodes, including the pilot.

In a recent interview with Complex, Gunn, also directed the upcoming superhero program, spoke of casting Cena.

‘We learn a lot about other characters, but I felt with Peacemaker, we really just scratched the surface of who this guy is, what makes this douchebag tick,’ he told the outlet. ‘I called up John immediately and I said, ‘Hey, do you want to do this thing?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah.’

He noted he and Cena became ‘incredibly close’ on set and called the actor ‘one of the best’ and most talented performers he knows.

He also has an action-thriller dubbed Snafu in post-production, starring alongside Jackie Chan and Pilou Asbaek.

Cena is also attached to star in director Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle with Henry Cavill, Samuel L. Jackson, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston and Bryce Dallas Howard, which is scheduled to hit theaters in 2022.
