In a heart-stopping rescue, a mother dog and her puppies were found trapped in sand that had collapsed in a construction site. The mother’s love for her puppies had her digging with all her might, but she was completely stuck.

We knew we had to act fast to save any surviving puppies. We started digging through the sand, handful by handful, to avoid injuring the mother or any surviving puppies.

After a few tense moments, we found one puppy alive and safe. But we knew there had to be more. After carefully digging through more sand, we were overjoyed to find another little fighter still alive. Sadly, not all the puppies survived, but the two survivors and their exhausted mama were whisked into our ambulance and given a safe place to rest.

We searched for a new, safe home for this loving family, and eventually found a spot that seemed just right. We laid out blankets of burlap, and the mother seemed to know that this was a safe place for her and her babies to rest.

This rescue is a testament to the incredible love and determination of a mother dog to protect her puppies, and to the tireless efforts of our team to save every life possible. We will never forget this incredible rescue and the unwavering love of this mother dog.
