Unfortunately, these tunnels got increasingly narrow over time, making access for researchers impossible.

Finally, the team of academics devised a brilliant plan to continue investigating these ancient tunnels. They decided that using a robot was the best option

The robot recorded a series of breathtaking recordings from those passageways. It appears that the network of underground tunnels was far larger than previously realized.

According to early ideas, the High Priests performed some of the most gruesome rituals in these tunnels, in which even their young children were involved

This is one of the most significant archaeological findings in the last 50 years.
