At first, a fisherman named Mark Watkins discovered the creature’s body, thinking it was a capsized boat, but when he got closer he couldn’t help but panic because of this “alien creature”.

A fisherman discovered the body of a strangely large creature.

Mark Watkins said: “It was a bloated belly full of gas inside and floating.”
“When we got closer, we realized it was the carcass of a whale because of its smell.” He and his father also discovered it near the Australian coast.
He said he had never seen this before, normally their bodies would sink deep to the ocean floor and become food for microorganisms living on the seabed.
However, discovering whale carcasses floating at sea is quite rare.
