Fat Joe and DJ Khaled have been friends for a long time. Fat Joe revealed that he and the other had been friends for almost thirty years in a birthday card that was shared two years earlier.
That is still the case today, as DJ Khaled showed support for Fat Joe by attending his book launch at the Miami Book Fair. He went so far as to invite me to ride with him in Miami, Florida—which would obviously involve a Rolls-Royce.
New York rapper Fat Joe is a big fan of the British luxury car manufacturer, having owned two Cullinans and a Phantom. DJ Khaled agrees, as he is the owner of both models.
They were driven around in Khaled’s luxurious Rolls-Royce Phantom, which had a Starlight Headliner, red leather seats, and an elegant black paint job.
Dubbed “the most silent motor car in the world,” the Phantom boasts opulent features that make for an extremely comfortable ride, including a drink cabinet located in the rear center console.
The Phantom fulfills all requirements in terms of performance as well. Under the hood, Rolls-Royce installed a 6.75-liter V12 twin-turbocharged engine from BMW that produces 563 horsepower (571 ps) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. This power is transferred to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automated transmission.
.
The Phantom offers a smooth ride, but it also has a big adrenaline factor—it can accelerate from zero to sixty miles per hour (97 kph) in 5.1 seconds, with a maximum speed cap of 155 mph (250 kph).
And it’s just what DJ Khaled and Fat Joe need to feel like their greatest selves.
