Dak Prescott claims he is “on the brink” of regaining his best after Cowboys’ poor 2-2 start
Dak Prescott hasn’t exactly had the best start to the season this year. Coming off a fresh contract extension of $240 million, which has made him the highest-paid QB of all time, he is yet to match his performance to his fat paycheck.

The Dallas Cowboys are off to a 2-2 start this season, which includes a blowout 44-19 loss to the New Orleans Saints. On Sunday Night Football, they’ll be up against the 3-1 Pittsburgh Steelers.

He recently spoke to reporters about the Cowboy’s slow start to the 2024 season and whether he has been playing his best football. He told them:

“I’m playing solid football. I think if you broke down all four games, there’s a play or two, a couple of plays within that I want back. … I can tell you my best is damn sure, I’m on the brink of it. I feel like I’m stepping into that. … It’s damn sure coming.”
He admitted that he has just been playing “solid” football, but the best is yet to come.

However, the upcoming weeks look tough as the Cowboys will be without their major offensive weapons. LB Micah Parsons, DE DeMarcus Lawrence and wideout Brandin Cooks are all nursing injuries and will miss the Steelers game.

Yet, Prescott seemed optimistic about the Steelers game and said:

“(A 2-2 record) is not acceptable for us,” Prescott said. “It’s about finding a way to win, starting this Sunday, and moving forward one game at a time.” (H/T ESPN)
The Cowboys won the last time they played a road game against the Steelers, in 2016, during Prescott’s rookie year. Cowboys fans are hoping that now, with eight years under his belt, he will beat the Steelers once again.

Dak Prescott makes Hollywood teaser debut
Dak Prescott was featured in a new promo video for the Tom Hardy-starter, Marvel’s Venom: The Last Dance. In the promo video, Prescott and Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy’s character in the movie) can be seen making their way through a desert.

They’re looking for the Cowboy’s home stadium, AT&T, when they encounter a horse and Eddie suggests Prescott ride the horse to the stadium. Dak Prescott then delivers his punchline:

“I’m not that kinda cowboy.”
However, the horse morphs into a Venom-like creature and Dak Prescott jumps off, saying, it’s “not in my contract.”

The movie is set to be released on October 5, a day before the Cowboys’ Steelers outing.
