In a heart-wrenching development, a dog named Frangelica has been returned to the shelter she was adopted from after just five months.
What was thought to be her forever home turned out differently when the 45-pound pup was brought back to Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control ( FWACC) in Texas.
“We received a message from the foster, who had been contacted by her adopter. They reported that their dog and Frangelica were not getting along,” revealed Lauren Anton from FWACC to Newsweek. “Despite their efforts to make it work, we provided training resources. Eventually, they made the difficult decision to return her to the rescue.”
Frangelica’s journey hasn’t been easy. She battled Parvo earlier this year, a life-threatening disease. “She fought a tough battle with illness. On May 5th, she tested positive for Parvo at urgent care. We admitted her to the hospital, and after that, it took months for her to find a new home,” Anton elaborated.
Despite facing adversity, Frangelica remains resilient. Now back at the shelter, she awaits a new chance at a forever home, hoping for a brighter future.
