Cardi B hit back at a fan after they accused celebrities, like herself, of relying on plastic surgery to slim down but pretending it’s the result of working out.
The X (formerly Twitter) user was reacting to a video the rapper, 31, shared this week of herself showing off her svelte body at the gym.
They suggested the workout was an act and that ‘[in reality] if they gain more weight they will just get surgery again.’
Cardi didn’t take too kindly to this as she’s been extremely candid about the surgeries and cosmetic procedures she’s had done over the years.
She previously confessed to having four breast augmentations, liposuction, a rhinoplasty and illegal silicone butt injections that she’s almost removed entirely.

In response, Cardi said she works out to ‘maintain’ her results while also building muscle and reducing visceral fat — two things that can’t be achieved with surgery.
‘How vocal have I been about my procedures???’ she began.
‘The thing is I don’t gain weight much so I’m trying to gain MUSCLE cuz it’s hard for me to maintain fat…
‘also there’s this thing called visceral fat…It’s fat that grows under the muscle and you can’t lipo it only thing you can do is work it out!’ Cardi explained.
Cardi ramped up her fitness routine following the birth of her son Wave in 2021.
In a video diary shared earlier this year, she gave fans a glimpse at her rigorous ‘two-hours-a-day’ routine.
She understands that people might question why she works out despite getting liposuction and once again, cited visceral fat as her motivation.
She also is also aiming for ‘toned thighs’ and to ‘be as flexible as I was before I had my son.’

Cardi shares Wave and five-year-old daughter Kulture with her husband, rapper Offset, 31.
Cardi had an operation last year to remove the biopolymers from her rear end.
‘In August I got surgery and I removed 95% of my biopolymers… if you don’t know what it is, it’s a** shots.
‘It was a really crazy process,’ she said at the time.
‘All I’m going to say is that if you’re young, if you’re 19, 20, 21, and sometimes you’re too skinny, and you be like: “OMG I don’t have enough fat to put in my a**” so you result to a** shots, DON’T!’ Cardi urged her fans on Instagram Live.
During her pre-fame days as a New York City stripper, she once had her derriere illegally injected with silicone in a basement.
Years ago she shared that she got the illicit buttock augmentation partly because a man dumped her for a woman with ‘a fat, big a**.’
There was also a financial incentive for the procedure, as she noticed other strippers with larger behinds managing to out-earn her, she told GQ.
