Cardi B has announced she’s hitting pause on going out until she regains some weight after shedding almost 10 pounds in the last two weeks. The rapper, 31, shared her slimmed-down figure, dropping from 137 pounds to 130, as a result of a tough stomach bug.
“I couldn’t eat or keep food down,” she admitted during an Instagram Live on Tuesday. “So, I’m staying in until I put on some pounds because I’m not a fan of how my body looks right now.”
Cardi B went on to say, “I look way too skinny right now. When I’m this thin, pants and skirts just don’t fit right. Little dresses are the only thing that look good on me.”

Cardi B expressed her dislike for being too skinny and talked about her plans to gain some weight. “I need to eat and I need that intimacy,” the mother of two joked. “Intimacy helps you put on weight; it’s just a science, you know what I’m saying? It’s a definite science.”
It’s unclear if Cardi and her estranged husband Offset have reconciled, but they celebrated Valentine’s Day together, and she revealed they were intimate on New Year’s Eve after their split.
“Was I out with my baby’s father yesterday? Yes. Did I get intimate? Absolutely,” she said during a live chat on January 1. “I needed some intimacy on New Year’s Eve. We had a great time.”
In December, Cardi announced her separation from Offset during an Instagram Live session, stating that she had “been single for a while now.” She was hesitant to share the news because she wasn’t sure how to break it to the world.
The Grammy winner remained optimistic about her future, saying she was “curious for a new life, for a new beginning,” despite the allegations of Offset cheating on her with Chrisean Rock.

The rapper also shared a cryptic Instagram story, stating, “You know sometimes you just outgrow relationships.” She followed up with, “I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings… I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST.”
This is not the first time the couple has faced challenges in their relationship. The pair reportedly met at an industry event in 2016, with Cardi recalling in a November 2017 Twitter video, “He was very consistent. He really wanted to talk to me.”
They began dating in January 2017, around the same time they collaborated on the song “Lick.” Cardi shared a photo of them together at the Super Bowl, referring to Offset as “my friend… you know what I’m saying?”
Offset mentioned that the Super Bowl was their first real date, and the couple shared a kissing photo on Instagram on Valentine’s Day 2017.
‘I need to eat and I need that d**k,’ the mother-of-two mused. ”Cause, you know, d**k helps you gain wait. It’s just a science, you know what I’m saying? It’s a f**king science’
Although Cardi B kept her relationship with Offset under wraps during the summer of 2017, she did drop some hints about their possible marriage at the VMAs in late August. In September 2017, the couple quietly got married in Fulton County, Georgia, though the news wasn’t made public until June 2018.
Offset proposed to Cardi on stage in October 2017, despite the fact that they were already legally married. In January 2018, rumors emerged that Offset had not only cheated on Cardi but had also made a sex tape with another woman.
In February 2018, Cardi defended her decision to stay with Offset, acknowledging that his actions were wrong but also pointing out, “People don’t know what I did, ’cause I ain’t no angel.”

Cardi B confirmed that Offset had cheated on her in December 2019, but the couple appeared to be on good terms as they entered 2020. However, Cardi unexpectedly filed for divorce in September 2020.
They reconciled just months later, exchanging expensive cars as gifts for their respective birthdays, and welcomed their second child, Wave Set, in September 2021.
While the couple seems to have been doing well since then, Cardi admitted in September that she hadn’t initially thought they would actually get married.
This past September, they celebrated their six-year wedding anniversary.
