Popcorn’s journey began at a smaller local shelter that had not yet achieved no-kill status. Despite her difficult start, Popcorn’s destiny took a turn for the better when she arrived at AHS. Before her arrival, the AHS team was aware that she had a significant skin infection requiring immediate treatment. Upon intake, Popcorn was diagnosed with demodex mange and began her treatment right away.

Concerned for her well-being, they moved her to isolation and tested her for parvovirus. Unfortunately, the test came back positive.
