The story of two unique dogs

Picasso’s journey began in 2017, when Liesl took him in after her brother’s repeated death. Picasso, who suffered from a crooked nose, faced tremendous challenges from the start. “It was a wonder that Picasso lived as a newborn,” Liesl said. “He would have had a hard time even nursing from his mother.”

In 2021, Newt joined his family. He had been left with his mother’s severe facial deformities and constant medical problems. A happy life together

Picasso and Newt live on a 55-acre property in Oregon, USA, and are enjoying a happy life full of love and birds. Liesl shares her story through videos that show her everyday activities, such as feeding, playing, walking, and picking berries.

“Picasso loves Newt because he loves to play and fight and he’s so cute,” Liesl said. “Our bond grew stronger as Newt grew older.”

Overcoming challenges

Newt has had to deal with several challenges unrelated to his missing upper jaw, but his spirit remains intact. Picasso, on the other hand, has adapted well to his crooked nose. Both dogs have learned to live with their physical limitations and can accomplish virtually anything they desire. “He doesn’t worry, he’s learned to live with his physical limitations and can do pretty much anything he wants to do,” Liesl explained. “I really like Picasso and Newt, they’re wonderfully loving, happy, intelligent and fun dogs.”
