Fronky has been Shaun’s best friend since he was a seven-week-old puppy. The two are inseparable, and seeing Shaun is always a highlight of Fronky’s day.
“When she’s in her truck, gathering all her packages and getting ready to come to our house, you see her tail wagging so fast, and if she takes too long, she gets impatient,” Fronky’s mom, Eileen, told The Dodo.
Fronky has grown into a 180-pound dog who could easily jump the front yard fence if he so chose. Fronky, on the other hand, is a good guy who always stays on his side of the fence. Luckily, Shaun is still able to give him plenty of pets and hugs!
Shaun had a chocolate Labrador that died, according to Eileen. She believes Fronky provides her with the puppy cuddles she craves.
“I think having this short break with Fronky helps her and gives her something to look forward to,” Eileen explained.
Shaun and Fronky are definitely great friends. Shaun occasionally visits Fronky on his days off.
“Shaun has become like a member of our family,” Eileen explained. “He constantly forgets to come, and we can’t wait to see him every day… And Fronky is completely out of control when he hears his voice.”
Fronky’s affection for Shaun is unusual for his breed, according to Hill’s Pets. According to the website:
“With family members, Bullmastiffs are gentle and affectionate. Their typically calm, easy-going personalities make them ideal for families with well-behaved children. When a stranger enters the scene, the Bullmastiff’s laid-back attitude toward family members is likely to change. These dogs are wary of people who are not members of their family.”
The most plausible answer seems to be that Fronky considers Shaun part of his family. How charming!
“I appreciate that it’s a mutual love,” Eileen said of Fronky and Shaun’s relationship. “So they’re both looking forward to it.”
Fronky is a cute huge dog with an adorable best friend. It’s adorable to watch the
