Will Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams get traded before the 2024 NFL trade deadline? All signs point to yes, but we won’t know until it happens.
Adams has requested a trade this season, and with the Raiders struggling at 2-3 under first-year head coach Antonio Pierce, it makes sense that they could move on and look to gain draft picks for their future.
While Adams is a known trade candidate, Pierce said Adams is still a Raider and spoke about his health after being inactive for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.
Pierce said:
“He’s still a Raider. He’s never not been a Raider. When he’s healthy and he can play, we’ll play him. He’s just not healthy right now, and he’s getting closer though, that’s good part. He’s working every day to get the hamstrings right. He’s in the right headspace, mentally, like I said, we talked recently and had a good conversation. He’s ready to play football.”
The Raiders have announced a quarterback change this week as they will bench Gardner Minshew for Aidan O’Connell. Maybe a quarterback change could make Adams happier in LV.

Davante Adams is still one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. He’s recorded four straight 1,000+ yards seasons in the last four years.
While he’s earned multiple Pro Bowls and All-Pros and is still playing at a high level, Adams is aging, turning 32 in December. Adams will likely seek a new contract with the team that acquires him.
Given these factors, the Raiders are asking for a second-round pick plus an additional asset. Most around the league think this is a high asking price, given what the Buffalo Bills got for Stefon Diggs and the Los Angeles Chargers for Keenan Allen.
The Raiders still have over three weeks to get a deal done, with the NFL trade deadline expiring on Nov. 5.
