Gold plates and ceremonial weapons have been found in a 2000 year old tomb in the East China city of nan Chang the 20 plates measure about 10 centimeters wide and 23 centimeters long these gold plates were likely the go-to reserves of the tombs owner archaeologists have found 378 gold items in the tomb thus far the largest discovery of gold items in Han Dynasty era tomb today the hoof shaped goat has acquitted craftsmanship with magnifying patterns some are even studded with streams we have to be careful when handling these relics
because any wrong move may cause damage and pose difficulties for future studies and protection how birds and daggers were also found in the tomb as well as six shields these weapons were used for ceremonies they were different from real weapons real weapons were made a shop to be able to stab or slash but these ceremonial weapons were made out of lacquer the main chamber of the tomb is still being excavated
