ALIEN hunters believe they have discovered an extraterrestrial here on Earth, and believe it is proof we share this planet with ancient beings from another planet.
A video shot near to the Dettifoss Waterfall, in Iceland’s Jökulsárgljúfur national park, appears to show an alien being holding on to the cliff, it has been claimed. The mysterious being in question appears to move, making it look like it is alive.
Icelandic singer Vigdís Howser Harðardóttir was videotaping the waterfall but did not notice the being until she got home and reviewed the footage.
Prominent UFO researcher Scott C Waring caught wind of the footage and believes it is evidence ancient aliens live here on Earth.
Furthermore, Mr Waring believes the Icelandic people may have confused the supposed ancient aliens with fairies or elves.
In Icelandic mythology, supernatural beings known as huldufólk, or hidden people, are elves or fairies which lived there long before humans.
“These small beings, if on Earth and if they were seen by humans, would be easily mistaken for fairies or elves.”
Mr Waring wrote on his blog UFO
Sightings Daily: “In this video was see a black thin creature moving slightly while hanging off the edge of the cliff.
“Sadly the person didn’t see it until she got home otherwise we would have a better view of it.
“The creature almost looks like a black robot. Perhaps the ancient Iceland belief in the little folks they call Huldufolk, which are mystical beings like tiny elves and fairs are not so far from the truth.
“There are small alien species that exist. These small beings, if on Earth and if they were seen by humans, would be easily mistaken for fairies or elves.
“So we may have one on video here, strange creature.”
Of course, there is no evidence to support Mr Waring’s claim, and commenters on the original video suggest it could be a lizard or a frog.
Alternatively, it appears as if it could be a black bin bag flailing in the wind.
As a result, Mr Waring’s claims could be explained through an effect known as pareidolia.
Pareidolia describes the brain’s tendency to see recognisable shapes and patterns where they do not exist.
NASA said: “Pareidolia is the psychological phenomenon where people see recognizable shapes in clouds, rock formations, or otherwise unrelated objects or data.
“There are many examples of this phenomenon on Earth and in space.”
Mr Waring, however, believes aliens are real and has argued humanity has the strength to deal with such a shocking revelation if NASA were to admit it.
He said: “Much like COVID-19 did to the people in each country as it spread, because the public once believed that such a pandemic would be impossible, and yet, the human race has changed their perspective on that very fast.
“That’s how disclosure of intelligent aliens would be, but it would not kill people or frighten them as much.”
