When 33-year-old Ryan Jessen died abruptly from a brain hemorrhage, medical workers responded in an unexpected way.
“The hospital was incredibly kind to us and allowed us to bring my brother’s dog to ‘say goodbye’, so he could understand why his human never came home.” “If you knew my brother, you would know how much I loved his precious puppy,” Ryan’s sister Michelle posted on Facebook.
Although the video of Ryan and his dog Molly’s touching moment was intended for the family circle, it went viral.
“The stories of others, their participation in our pain, and the good will of so many people have greatly impacted and humbled us,” Michelle writes.
According to Ryan’s sister, Molly, the heartbroken dog is in good hands: “Don’t worry about the dog!” We kept it!!! “She is part of the family.” Michelle noted that Ryan’s donated heart will save the life of a 17-year-old just in time for Christmas.
