Namtan, the dog, had been badly abused and had little hope of survival when rescuers found her. Since she couldn’t eat and her nose had been blocked, she was starving. Fortunately, she was discovered by a team of volunteers who regularly save elephants.

Bed and breakfast

The Save Elephant Foundation in Thailand is known for helping elephants, but they care about other animals too, so when they came across Namtan, they knew they had to intervene to save her. She was found on the sidewalk with his muzzle away from her face. With a machete or knife, they most likely had cut it off.

Finding a veterinarian willing to perform the necessary life-saving tasks was difficult for Namtan rescuers. The first veterinarians warned them that the procedure would be careful because a long time had passed since their accident. They finally found a veterinarian who was willing to try to save his life.

Namtan was saved thanks to the surgeon’s brave efforts! When I saw her for the first time after the operation, I was in shock. Namtan was ready to begin and, after the procedure, her іпjᴜгу healed very well. Currently, she resides at The Elephant Park Sanctuary under the tender care of her rescuers.
