The hardest thing about poverty is that it pressures people into survival mode, often causing them to lose empathy for their fellow human beings.

We see a man visiting a market organized by an extremely poor community concerned with standard sustenance.

However, the unpleasant sight of a tied puppy makes him fall dead. The man discovers that the puppy and his littermates are for sale as if they were poultry. The puppy is limp and in constant pain because his muzzle and paws are tightly bound with duct tape, and no one bats an eyelid.

The man is disturbed by the puppy’s suffering and confronts the seller for abusing the boy. However, the saleswoman loses her temper and begins to defend herself against her. She claims the puppy was attacking her littermates, so he grabbed her and isolated her from the rest of her.

With no way to get the ruthless seller to release the helpless puppy, the man decides to buy the tied puppy to save her. He gingerly grabs the small puppy and unrolls layers and layers of duct tape from the puppy’s limbs and snout. As expected, he finds the fragile pup scraped and injured due to the cruel situation.

Fortunately, the man had first aid supplies in his bag and quickly disinfected the puppy’s wounds with a solution. He then fed the puppy and his littermates some food. He then took the young puppy he had just saved to his small farm, wanting to give him a life full of compassion and comfort.

It is truly tragic to see the pitiful treatment that canines receive in so many dark and underdeveloped places, and nothing can ever justify this violent mentality before. Let’s raise our voices against the mistreatment of dogs and help raise awareness about animal welfare.
