“A puppy will always be man’s best friend.”  This is the saying that we have heard for decades and that is becoming clearer every time. These adorable beings possess incredible qualities: loyalty, nobility, unconditional love towards those around them. And his exceptional ability to capture the emotions of others makes him worthy of the title of man’s most faithful companion.

An entire town received with applause the little dog who had been missing for a week.

An example of this is the story of  Beethoven, a dog from the municipality of Santa Bárbara, in the department of Antioquía, Colombia .

This adorable little dog is a stray but unlike many others,  he enjoys the attention and unconditional love of the entire community .

This adorable little dog became the town’s mascot.

He was recently lost for a week and everyone did an arduous search to find this little dog, who  is considered an illustrious character in the community .

Authorities and residents joined together to find the dog’s whereabouts. Fortunately, they found him and the news did not go unnoticed. Between cheers, songs, and jumps of happiness,  all the inhabitants celebrated with infinite joy the return of the little dog to the community that saw him grow up .

Beethoven left town following a migrant couple.

Thanks to the complaints and the fact that the inhabitants never gave up, his disappearance went viral on the networks. This is how  a truck driver managed to identify the little dog that was heading to Valle del Cauca , a distant area where our four-legged friend is from.

According to some testimonies,  the dog disappeared from the town after following a couple of migrants who were walking towards southern Colombia .

The people did not rest until they had him back.

Given the disappearance of Beethoven, the director of the  Animales Amores Callejeros protective foundation , Jaime León López, joined the search and made different posters that he posted throughout the community and spread his whereabouts on social networks.

Some citizens from neighboring municipalities reported that they saw him but he did not want to receive water or food, he just wanted to continue walking.

With her sweet look and inexhaustible tenderness she conquered even the hardest heart.

Following the alert from the truck driver,  the authorities deployed an operation in the municipality of Tuluá , where he was also seen by the driver of another truck who also notified the police that he saw him walking in said place.

A patrolman even reported that he had seen him in that area in a truck in the company of the migrants.

The Tuluá police officers put a cap on him and took care of him until he returned to his hometown.

Fortunately, they managed to find the little dog near Tuluá,  the police officers of this community took care of him until he returned to Santa Bárbara safe and sound .

After his return,  the entire community gathered to welcome him like a celebrity . Beethoven does not have a permanent home, nor a permanent owner, everyone takes care of him, feeds him, bathes him, and makes him feel truly loved.

“Everyone loves him, from the mayor to the priest,” declared the director of Amores calleres.

This beautiful dog became the town’s mascot . Although there are those who have tried to offer him a permanent home, he becomes depressed when he is locked up, so they prefer to leave him free and continue enjoying all the care that the community offers him.

Beethoven arrived in Antioquia eight years ago, local media report that  he was thrown from a car when he was just a puppy . Since then, he wanders the streets playing with children and conquering the entire community.

Citizens are organizing to be able to give him a microchip and in this way be able to keep him a little more monitored . Additionally, he is losing his hearing, so he will need more care and veterinary attention. We trust that he will receive all the help he needs and will spend his golden years enjoying the love of an entire community.

Our hearts move with joy when we see the spirit of solidarity and love for a four-legged angel. I hope the rest of society shows the same respect and empathy for the street people.
