It was a cold January morning when little Teggin mixed breed was brought into the animal shelter, his matted fur caked in mud and his ribs painfully prominent beneath his skin. The poor pup trembled, his big dark eyes filled with fear as the kind shelter worker gently carried him inside. At just 8 years old, he had already faced many hardships in his young life.

The shelter staff quickly got to work, bathing the dog and providing him with detrital food and medical care.
