There are some truly special, wonderful, amazing stand out moments in our lives. Days like the birth of our children that we anxiously waited and dreamed of for an entire 9 months.

Birth is an amazing experience no matter how it occurs, natural birth, medicated birth, cesarean birth. This is the moment your family is made. So many emotions, so much joy, the reactions you can capture with birth photography are worth every penny!

“My partner can just take the photos for me” But what about them? Who captures their reaction as they see you so strong and so fierce as you bring your baby into this world?

The dads reactions are always my favorite to capture, the way they look at their partner so amazed, so proud, so much joy. Their reaction matters too! Birth photography is what helps capture and preserve all those memories of this special day!

While many soon-to-be parents opt to find out their child’s sex before they welcome their little one into the world, some folks prefer to be surprised. Tempest and Cornell Griffin Jr. were part of the latter category, and as you can tell by Cornell’s facial expression in the above photo, learning his wife had just given birth to a daughter came as one heck of a surprise. Fortunately, birth photographer and fellow parent Sarah Romero was there to capture everything.

What a moment! You never realise how many amazing reactions and moments take place during a birth until you see them captured in photos!

It could be as major as catching the baby as they come earthside, or as “small” as cutting the cord that tied baby to its life source, therefore sending baby off to find nourishment for themselves.
