“I admire Rihanna’s music a lot, but our styles are quite different,” Cardi explained during the interview. “I wouldn’t feel authentic trying to mimic her sound. It just wouldn’t work for me.” She stressed the importance of finding a song that not only showcases her own strengths but also resonates with Rihanna’s musical tastes.
