At the vet, it was discovered that Lucero had a broken hip bone from the accident. She underwent treatment and received words of encouragement and comfort from her caretakers. Lucero’s determination to overcome her challenges was awe-inspiring.

Despite her condition, Lucero remained a young, incredibly beautiful, and friendly mother. The vet provided ongoing care, including massages to prevent muscle atrophy. It was determined that Lucero would eventually need a wheelchair for mobility. She also required diapers and assistance with food due to her paralysis

Lucero spent a lot of time with her baby, showing unwavering love and devotion. She continued to make progress, and after 40 days of being bedridden, she was able to stand up again. Her determination and resilience were truly remarkable, and she continued to push herself to do everything she could for herself and her baby.

After 52 days of hard work and rehabilitation, Lucero took small, dynamic steps, finally able to walk again. It was an amazing moment and a well-deserved reward for her unwavering spirit. Lucero had won the battle against her injuries and was on her way to recovery.

Day 69 marked a significant milestone as Lucero was finally able to walk again, thanks to her determination and the support she received from her caregivers and the Fund Angelitos del Cercado, who had saved her life.
