This is Ayla, she was two and a half months old when Krista found her, and we can’t begin to describe how much suffering she went through: hunger, mange, shaking as she crawled on the floor…
Krista took her to the vet. Ayla’s general health is really bad, according to a clinical check. She must have eaten the stone. It’s another sign that she had a calcium deficiency, which caused a malformation in both front legs, forcing Ayla to crawl on the ground, causing severe abrasion and damage to herself over time…
Ayla is currently in the hospital and they are doing everything they can to cure her. Recovery can take up to three months with careful care, but most importantly she is now safe with Little Steps.
Fortunately, x-rays revealed that Ayla had no broken bones, meaning she’ll have a better chance of walking again…
Ayla was also taken to sunbathe in addition to being fed. She is happier, although she is still itchy with scabies. Ayla is without a doubt the best patient.
Ayla was taken for blood work the next day. Fortunately, there were no serious problems other than scabies and lack of nutrients. Ayla also received a calcium supplement and a bandage to help with her deformities.
“My heart is overjoyed to see our little one spending precious time with Ayla, the happiest puppy on the planet. She seemed very happy and delighted to be able to play like a puppy again.”
She loves her little ball. A new toy to encourage her to walk.
Ayla will have to wear the bandage for almost a week.
Let’s fight together, Ayla, we will always be there for you and we hope your story goes viral…
